The Geek Club is a casual hang-out night for teens who enjoy anything from anime, comics, Doctor Who, video games, crazy YouTube clips and more! Even if you’re curious, stop by and meet some new friends. Snacks always provided and new faces always welcome!

Mason Jar Etching

Thursday, December 8 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Learn how to etch a mason jar mug using etching cream and custom created stencils. Participants will have to opportunity to etch their initials, designs or patterns, characters and much more! All supplies provided. Register online.

Elf Workshop

Saturday, December 10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Be an elf and make presents for you loved ones! Decorate an ice-cream cone tree and visit with Santa. The whole family is invited.

Teen Makerspace

Saturday, December 10 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Location: Youth Activity Room

A Makerspace is a DIY space where people can gather to create, invent and learn. The library will host four Makerspace sessions for teens this fall. We will have a variety of electronics, software, crafts and tools for you to tinker with including a button maker, sewing machine, Sphero obstacle course, Cricut cutting machine, Little Bits, 3D doodle pens and much more!

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

Tuesday, December 13 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Get volunteer hours and advise the Teen Librarian on what is popular and current with teens! Participants who attend 6/10 meeting throughout the year will have the opportunity to apply for a $500.00 library scholarship that will go towards a college fund.

Gingerbread House Making

Looking for something sweet and tasty to do for the holidays? Join your fellow teens for a delicious Gingerbread House decorating program and holiday themed movie! All ingredients and supplies will be provided. Register online.

One-on-one Technology Help

Monday, December 19 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Location: Study Room 2

  • Senior Citizens
  • All Ages

Our technology savvy librarians will help you understand your eReader, tablet, smartphone or laptop. Sign-up for a 30 minute appointment between 2:00p-4:00p every Monday. Our staff can also assist with setting up an email address and using popular computer programs like Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Please note: one device at a time, multiple attendees are okay if learning on same device. Call 248-693-3001 to register.
