Print, Copy, Fax
Patrons may print standard Letter (8.5" x 11") or Legal (8.5" x 14") size from any library computer.
The library also has one Black & White / Color photocopier for patron use located in adult services. Adult Services also hosts two Scan EZ stations, allowing patrons to scan photos and documents to email, smartphone, tablet, USB storage, various cloud services, fax, or library printers.

Wireless Printing
The Orion Library now offers the ability to print from anywhere with any Internet / Email enabled device and claim your print jobs at one of our public printers. Users have the option to send their print jobs by email, upload their jobs to the library’s Wireless Printing Portal, or use the PrinterOn mobile app. Note: Only letter size documents can be printed at this time. Legal sized document can be printed using in-house library computers.
Method 1 – Print by Email
Log in to your email account and send / forward an email with the document(s) attached to one of printers listed:
B/W Single Sided ($ 0.10 per page)
B/W Double Sided ($ 0.20 per page)
Color Single Sided ($ 0.25 per page)
Color Double Sided ($ 0.50 per page)
Your print job(s) will be sent to the library’s Print Release Stations and can be retrieved from either Adult Services or Youth Services. The email’s body and each attachment will appear as separate jobs in your Print Queue.
Method 2 – Upload to Wireless Printing Portal
Select one of the printers listed:
B W Single Sided ($ 0.10 per page)
B W Double Sided ($ 0.20 per page)
Color Single Sided ($ 0.25 per page)
Color Double Sided ($ 0.50 per page)
Enter your email address (required to claim your print jobs).
Select the document:
If printing from a website: copy and paste the site’s URL into the text box.
NOTE: This method may not work with sites that require a user to be logged in.
If printing a document from your computer: select Browse and locate the file.
Select the Next Arrowbutton.
Adjust the Printing Options and select the Next Arrow button.
Select the Print Button. This will send the job to our Print Release Stations located in Adult Services and Youth Services.
Method 3 – Print using the PrinterOn Mobile App
Install the PrinterOn app from your device’s app store. Currently available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, Kindle, & Nook.
Open the app and search for a printer:
Location: Manually search or use your device’s GPS to find printers in your area.
Search: Use the keywords “lake orion”, “orion township”, or “48362”.
Optional: Tap to save the printer(s) for future use.
Select Photos or Web and locate the photo / provided the site URL.
Selecting a photo will direct you to the Preview page.
Providing a URL will direct you to the website. Tapping the Printer icon will direct you to the Preview page.
Tap the Print Options icon in the upper right corner to select the number of copies / pages to print.
Tap the Print button and provide your email address. This will send the job to our Print Release Stations located in Adult Services and Youth Services.
Picking Up Print Jobs
Print jobs can be claimed at either of the library’s two print release stations located in Adult Services and Youth Services.
Select Release a Print Job.
Log in with your email address.
Select the job(s), then select the Print button in the upper right corner.
Select a payment method:
Pay From Vending Device: Insert Coins and Bills into the Vending Device located next to the printer.
Pay From AAM Account: Log in with your Orion Library card. You must already have funds in your deposit account to use this option.
When processing is finished, select the OK button.
Select the Done button in the upper right corner.
Computers
Computers are available for public use with either an Orion / TLN member library card or non-resident guest pass. Time limits are enforced when public demand exceeds computer availability. Users must comply with the library's Internet Access and Use Policy.
With the exception of Catalog computers and Early Literacy Stations, all public library computers offer:

Internet Access
The Orion Township Public Library provides wireless internet access (WiFi) to our patrons on their laptops or other wireless-enabled mobile devices for web and email access. As with most public wireless “hot spots”, the library’s wireless connection is not secure. Cautious and informed wireless users should choose not to transmit their credit card information, passwords and other sensitive personal information while using any wireless “hot spot.”
The library will not be responsible for any information (i.e. credit card) that is compromised, or for any damage caused to your hardware or software due to power surges, security issues or consequences caused by viruses or hacking. All wireless access users should have up-to-date virus protection on their laptop computers or wireless devices. Anti-virus and security protection are the responsibility of the patron.
Laptop and mobile device users must be considerate of patrons nearby and refrain from excessive noise including the playing of music or movies without the use of headphones.
The library is not responsible for laptops or mobile devices left unattended.

Early Literacy Stations
Early Literacy Stations are a dynamic all-in-one digital learning solution for children ages 2-8 featuring educational software applications that are eclectic and engaging, spanning seven curricular areas. These are located in the Youth Services area of the library.
Tech for Checkout
iPads
iPads can be checked out by patrons with a valid library card. All iPads are Wi-Fi enabled with access to all the default apps provided by Apple. You can also create an Apple account log in to an existing one to install your own apps. iPads check out for three weeks and are limit to 1 per card with no renewals.
Chromebooks
Chromebooks can be checked out by Orion residents with a valid library card, check out for 3 weeks, and are limited to 1 per card with no renewals.
Wifi Hotspots
Wifi Hotspots can be checked out by Orion residents with a valid library card. Check out is for 3 weeks and is limited to 1 per card with no renewals.

Here at Orion Library, we can help boost your digital confidence! We provide one-on-one assistance and instruction with basic to intermediate tech dilemmas such as:
Getting started with the library's apps (like Libby and Hoopla) and downloading/streaming digital content.
Mobile device help (phones, laptops, and other devices that can be brought in)
Learning new computer and software skills (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)
General technology tips and tricks.

Learn My Way
Learn My Way is a website of free online courses for beginners, helping you develop digital skills to make the most of the online world. Some courses require registration with email and password to track progress in lesson.
Techboomers
Text and image based tutorials on a variety of apps and websites that cover topics such as entertainment, shopping, travel, online dating, and social media. 
Learning Express Library
Features online tutorials, practice tests, and eBooks to help patrons of all ages. It offers job search and workplace skills improvement, skill building in reading, writing, math, and basic science, career certification and licensure exam prep, college and grad school entrance test prep, GED® test prep, and more. When accessing LearningExpress Library, you will be asked to create an account. This personal account allows users to save their work in progress, store score reports, and revisit practice tests, tutorials, or eBooks. Registration only requires a valid email address and password.
LinkedIn Learning
Contains over 16,000 professionally produced courses in Business, Technology, and Creative Arts. All courses are structured by instructional designers, taught by real-world experts, and shot with extremely high production quality. **LinkedIn Learning is available for Orion residents with a valid library card only**
