Makerspace
The Orion Township Public Library's Makerspace offers space for library patrons to work on creative projects. We offer a variety of tools, equipment, and programs to encourage a hybrid of digital literacy and creativity.

Makerspace Use
Makerspace equipment is self service. During regular hours, librarians are unable to personally assist with use. Handbooks, guides, and/or training videos can be found under the equipment descriptions below.
Equipment Training
If you are interested in learning how to use any of the equipment in the Makerspace, please fill out the form below to schedule an appointment.
Due to limited staffing, we are temporarily only scheduling appointments on Thursday afternoons and evenings.
Requests must be completed at least 24 hours in advance to ensure staff availability. A Makerspace specialist will contact you to schedule the appointment.

With the Toshiba DVD/VHS recorder, you can easily convert all your VHS tapes onto DVD with the touch of a button. Includes chapter and labeling function to organize and label footage. Blank DVD’s are available for purchase at the circulation desk.
ION USB Turntable/Vinyl Archiver TTUSB10
Transfer music from vinyl records to MP3 format. Plays 33 and 45 RPM records.
Brother ColAura Sticker Printer
The Brother ColAura sticker printer is coupled with easy to use software that lets you design and instantly print 1 or 2 inch full-color stickers.
ION Audio Tape 2 PC
Quickly transfers music from tapes to MP3 format. This station also includes CD burning software.
Cricut Maker 3
Cricut machines cut a hundred different materials – everything from the most popular craft materials like cardstock, vinyl, and iron-on to specialty materials like glittery paper, polished foils, and bonded fabric.
Spellbinder Platinum 8.5"
The Spellbinder Platinum embosses and cuts through a wide range of thick to thin materials, from paper and cotton, to metal and balsa wood. Prusa MK3S+ 3-D Printer
Prusa MK3S+ 3-D Printer—Print a wide variety of objects on our Prusa 3-D Printer. We have a wide selection of colors of PLA filament to choose from. (Black, white, gray, red, yellow, blue, green, purple, metallic orange, silver, gold, bronze, glow in the dark, and metallic rainbow.)
The cost to print is $1 plus $0.05/gram of material. Completed items can be picked up at the front desk. Payment is due upon the pickup of your item.
