Passport Services
The Orion Township Public Library is a Passport Acceptance Facility. You do not need to be a library card holder to utilize this service. The Orion Library does not offer on-site passport photos at this time. The information below contains important details that should be reviewed before making an appointment.

Please create an appointment for each applicant in your party; one appointment slot per application.

If you are applying for an adult renewal, you typically do not need the services of a Passport Acceptance Facility. Please see the FAQs section below to verify whether or not you meet the requirements for a mail-in or online renewal.​​​
Hours
Passport application hours are accepted by appointment only.
​
30 minutes are allotted for each appointment. The library does not accept walk-in appointments at this time. To make an appointment over the phone, please call (248) 287-8024. An email address is required to make an appointment for all appointments.

Appointment requests must be made at least one day in advance of your requested appointment date. We are unable to take same day appointments. Please cancel or reschedule your appointment if you are unable to meet at your scheduled time.

For any questions we are not able to answer, please visit travel.state.gov or contact the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) toll-free at (877) 487-2778 (TDD: (888) 874-7793) or by email at NPIC@state.gov. The NPIC is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Eastern Time, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Eastern Time. The NPIC is closed on federal holidays. Automated information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
