Bridge to Park Island

Bridge to Park Island

In 1874, a group of prominent citizens purchased Island Park, now known as Park Island. To provide access from the mainland to the island, they built a substantial bridge. Park Island provided the famed “Thriller” roller coaster, an 80 foot viewing tower, and a natural amphitheater among its other attractions.
