Library Volunteer Program

You're invited to join our team of volunteers! Whether you're a student (age 12 and up, please) or adult, employed or retired, you will be a welcome addition to our library team. The Orion Township Public Library has many opportunities for you to share your skills, experience, time and energy.

What are the benefits of Volunteering?

Volunteering at the library can be a very rewarding experience. At the Orion Township Public Library you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in a friendly, well-liked library

  • Learn new skills and exercise old skills

  • Meet new and interesting people

  • Gain a feeling of accomplishment

  • Learn more about the library and its many resources

  • Make a real difference!

What do volunteers do?

Library volunteers do all kinds of things! Help is needed with a variety of tasks, some simple and some more specialized. Volunteers may come in weekly, monthly, or just assist with certain programs or events. Volunteers also help with our community outreach programs at the Orion Center, local nursing homes, and with our homebound patrons.
