What is Take and Make?
A Take and Make is a program-to-go! We will pack a bag of supplies needed for the program, which you can pick up from the library so you can do the program at home.
Do I need to register for these programs?
Yes. We are requiring registration so we know how many supply packets to create.
Where can I find instructions?
All Take and Make program packets will include an instruction sheet.
Do we have to do the activities at the scheduled program time?
No, you are more than welcome to complete the activities on your own time from your own home.
Will there be any videos that accompany the take home supplies?
For some, but not all. Some of our take and make programs are the program supply packet and instructions only. Some packets will be accompanied with a recorded YouTube video, which will be emailed to registered patrons prior to the event. Some other take and make program will be paired with a live Zoom. This link will also be emailed to all registered patrons prior to the event. For specific details on each program, please visit https://orionlibrary.org/calendar/.
When can we pick up our supplies for a Take and Make program?
Supplies will be ready for pickup starting 1 day prior to the program’s scheduled time, and available until the day after the scheduled time.
How / where do we pick up supplies?
Supplies will be set out for pickup by the library’s front doors, accessible from our circle drive. Look for the colorful chalkboard. Take and Make supplies will be in an OTPL bag and labeled with the patron’s last name. Please only grab that amount that you have registered for.
Can we pick up our Take and Make supply packet with our curbside material?
No. Take and Make pickup is self-serve and separate from our curbside deliveries. Please pick up your Take and Make separately from your curbside pickup. For Take and Make, pick up by the front door. For curbside, proceed to the pickup parking spots. Library employees will not be able to deliver your Take and Make supplies to your car. If you need assistance, please call 248-693-3002.
