Take and Make Program FAQ

What is Take and Make?
A Take and Make is a program-to-go! We will pack a bag of supplies needed for the program, which you can pick up from the library so you can do the program at home.

Do I need to register for these programs?
For most programs, no. Take and Make programs are available on a first come, first served basis. A handful of Take and Make programs will require registration, and will be marked accordingly.

Where can I find instructions?
All Take and Make program packets will include an instruction sheet.

Do we have to do the activities at the scheduled program time?
No, you are more than welcome to complete the activities on your own time from your own home.

Will there be any videos that accompany the take home supplies?
For some, but not all. Some of our take and make programs are the program supply packet and instructions only. Some packets will be accompanied with a recorded YouTube video, which will be emailed to registered patrons prior to the event. Some other take and make program will be paired with a live Zoom. This link will also be emailed to all registered patrons prior to the event. For specific details on each program, please visit https://orionlibrary.org/calendar/.

When can we pick up our supplies for a Take and Make program?
Supplies will be ready for pickup starting at 9:30 AM on the day of the program, unless otherwise specified.

How / where do we pick up supplies?
Supplies will be bagged and set out for pickup in the library lobby. Please only take the amount needed for your family.

Can we pick up our Take and Make supply packet with our curbside material?
No. Take and Make pickup is self-serve and separate from our curbside deliveries. Please pick up your Take and Make separately from your curbside pickup. For Take and Make, pick up in the library lobby. For curbside, proceed to the pickup parking spots. Library employees will not be able to deliver your Take and Make supplies to your car.
